Its been a year and a half since my accident and I can FINALLY bend my right knee enough for it to touch my butt. I know I know it sounds dumb but there is A LOT OF THINGS YOU HAVE TO DO WITH YOUR RIGHT KNEE BENT.
It doesn’t always want to cooperate since it still gets swollen but damn.. At least it can do it now. I know it’ll just get better. I actually thought it was “stuck” and would never be fixed..
I have gone to the gym four days this week and I am back in it! I love how repeating something enough times makes you just want to do it, you know?
Thank you!! Good progress to you as well :)

I’ve also walked around campus today for about 35 minutes. I still have to walk around another 30 or so because I have a lab meeting this afternoon.
Now to eat a spicy black bean burger with spinach and ketchup for lunch. YUM.
No matter how far you’ve fallen behind, you can choose at any point to start moving forward. Even though nothing else may be going your way, you can decide to get your thoughts and actions going your way.
Success is a function of your direction and persistence, not your starting point. When…
Also did some jump roping before class this morning to wake me up!
Today has been a good day for eating so far.
Now to just do a small workout here at home.
Gym tomorrow morning + rock climbing in the afternoon. The best!
BEASTED IT TODAY AT ROCK CLIMBING. I climbed a climb that is a Hot and made it on my first try. Never done that before! A hot is no easy climb and I powered through it. Felt so good!
My new goal is one called Tsunami, its a hot plus. I am stoked for it!
Also, IF YOU HAVEN’T EVER CLIMBED BEFORE GET ON IT. Its a great arm workout, leg workout, back workout, core workout… You get the picture. I’m beat!
(I have climbing logs due at the end of the semester so this is how I am gonna organize them I think!)
Grade for the day: B+
Started out the day by trying to do Banana Slug (Hot, rope 3) and got absolutely no where. I had never tried it before so I didn’t exactly get my hopes up and did about as expected for a hot. Decided instead to keep working on Eat Your Wheaties where I got one hold past what I was stuck on yesterday which is good enough. Still stuck on the so called “crux” of the climb though. However saw someone climb it completely differently so maybe I will try her way next time I make it to the wall.
After being discouraged by the first few attempts of the day, I decided to try Night Vision, a Hot, just for kicks. I had never done it before and I am very disinclined to like tiny holds, which is all Night Vision has. But decided to go for it anyways because it was the only rope available. Made it up the first try, which felt good!
Then to end my day I decided to try Dazed and Confused, which is a spiy. For some reason last week it was giving me issues and today I literally just flew up the wall. Maybe it was due to seeing the beginning move and doing it without realizing it.
It felt good to climb two climbs to the top without too much difficulty, especially Night Vision. I need to keep working on Eat Your Wheaties though!
